Our kitchen team is led by two experienced in-house chefs who are passionate about preparing fresh,
wholesome and enjoyable meals tailored to the needs and preferences of our residents.
Dining is an important part of daily life within the home, and we work hard to create a relaxed,
homely and enjoyable experience at every mealtime.
Our chefs prepare a variety of traditional home-cooked meals, lighter options, snacks and homemade
treats, whilst also supporting specialist diets, nutritional needs and personal preferences.
We understand that for many people living with dementia, food can hold strong emotional connections
and memories. Familiar meals, favourite puddings, the smell of baking or sitting together for
afternoon tea can all provide reassurance, comfort and meaningful moments.
Our dining approach focuses on:
- Freshly prepared home-cooked meals
- Choice, flexibility and personal preference
- Nutritional support and hydration
- Dementia-friendly dining experiences
- Homemade cakes and baking
- Calm and welcoming dining environments
- Encouraging independence and enjoyment at mealtimes
- Celebrating birthdays, seasonal events and special occasions through food
As part of The Hadleigh Way™, we aim to create a positive and enjoyable relationship with food,
where residents feel relaxed, respected and genuinely at home.
