Our team & our home.

Hadleigh Court is a family-run care home built on generations of experience, values and commitment to caring for older people. More than simply a place of care, Hadleigh Court is a true home — one where residents are welcomed as part of an extended family and supported to live with dignity, comfort and purpose.

At the heart of Hadleigh Court is our dedicated team. From carers and lifestyle staff to housekeeping, laundry, maintenance, catering and management, every member of staff plays an important role in creating a safe, warm and genuinely homely environment.

We work together with kindness, compassion and shared responsibility, ensuring residents feel secure, listened to, respected and truly known as individuals.

Our approach is firmly person-centred. We take time to understand each resident’s life story, routines, preferences, relationships and what matters most to them. This allows us to provide care that is not only safe and professional, but familiar, reassuring and deeply personal.

Guided by The Hadleigh Way™, we believe care should support emotional wellbeing, independence, connection and meaningful daily living — not simply meet tasks and routines.

Our approach to leadership

At Hadleigh Court, leadership is visible, approachable and hands-on. Our management team works closely alongside care staff every day to ensure that residents receive compassionate, consistent and personalised support. We believe that strong leadership creates strong care.

As part of our ongoing development, the home is moving toward:

  • Smaller and more consistent care teams
  • Lifestyle-led dementia support
  • Increased meaningful engagement and activities
  • Enhanced dining and hospitality experiences
  • Stronger communication with families
  • Continuous staff training and development
  • Improved wellbeing for both residents and staff

Our goal is simple: to create a home where people don’t just live safely… they live happily, meaningfully and with dignity every single day.

Housekeeping Team

At Hadleigh Court, our housekeeping team plays an essential role in creating the warm, welcoming and comfortable environment that makes our home feel truly like home.

Cleanliness, comfort and attention to detail are an important part of resident wellbeing, dignity and quality of life. Our housekeeping team works closely with care staff and management to ensure that every area of the home remains clean, safe, homely and well cared for.

More than simply maintaining standards, our housekeeping team takes pride in creating spaces that feel calm, familiar and comforting to residents and their families.

Their responsibilities include:

  • Daily cleaning and infection prevention procedures
  • Maintaining resident bedrooms and communal areas
  • Supporting a safe, comfortable and homely environment
  • Laundry and linen management
  • Working closely with care teams to support resident wellbeing
  • Responding quickly to changing needs within the home
  • Helping create a welcoming atmosphere for families and visitors

As part of The Hadleigh Way™, every member of the team understands that even the smallest details can make a meaningful difference to someone’s day.

Our housekeeping staff are valued members of the wider Hadleigh Court family and contribute greatly to the warm, respectful and caring culture throughout the home.

Activities & Lifestyle Team

At Hadleigh Court, we believe that meaningful living is just as important as quality care.

Our Activities & Lifestyle Team is dedicated to creating joyful, engaging and person-centred experiences that support emotional wellbeing, independence, confidence and connection.

We understand that every resident is unique, with their own life story, interests, routines and passions. Our approach focuses on getting to know the individual behind the diagnosis and creating opportunities that bring comfort, purpose and enjoyment to everyday life.

Activities at Hadleigh Court are not treated as a timetable to fill the day — they are part of our wider lifestyle-led philosophy under The Hadleigh Way™.

This includes:

  • Music and reminiscence sessions
  • Arts, crafts and creative activities
  • Gardening and outdoor experiences
  • Baking and cooking activities
  • Gentle exercise and movement
  • Community visits and outings
  • One-to-one engagement and companionship
  • Seasonal events, celebrations and entertainment
  • Supporting residents to continue hobbies and interests they have always loved

Our goal is to create a home filled with warmth, laughter, companionship and meaningful moments every day.

Driver & Community Support

Our dedicated driver plays an important role in helping residents remain connected to the wider community and supporting daily life within the home.

This includes assisting with:

  • Resident appointments
  • Local outings and trips
  • Community activities and events
  • Shopping and practical support
  • Collection of supplies and operational support for the home

Maintaining connection to the outside world is an important part of emotional wellbeing, confidence and independence, particularly for those living with dementia.

By having a dedicated driver as part of the Hadleigh Court team, we are able to provide more flexible, responsive and personalised support for residents whilst helping reduce reliance on external transport services.

As with every role within Hadleigh Court, the focus remains on kindness, dignity, patience and creating positive experiences for the people who live here.

Kitchen & Dining Experience

At Hadleigh Court, we believe that food is about far more than nutrition — it is about comfort, enjoyment, routine, memory and bringing people together.

Our kitchen team is led by two experienced in-house chefs who are passionate about preparing fresh, wholesome and enjoyable meals tailored to the needs and preferences of our residents.

Dining is an important part of daily life within the home, and we work hard to create a relaxed, homely and enjoyable experience at every mealtime.

Our chefs prepare a variety of traditional home-cooked meals, lighter options, snacks and homemade treats, whilst also supporting specialist diets, nutritional needs and personal preferences.

We understand that for many people living with dementia, food can hold strong emotional connections and memories. Familiar meals, favourite puddings, the smell of baking or sitting together for afternoon tea can all provide reassurance, comfort and meaningful moments.

Our dining approach focuses on:

  • Freshly prepared home-cooked meals
  • Choice, flexibility and personal preference
  • Nutritional support and hydration
  • Dementia-friendly dining experiences
  • Homemade cakes and baking
  • Calm and welcoming dining environments
  • Encouraging independence and enjoyment at mealtimes
  • Celebrating birthdays, seasonal events and special occasions through food

As part of The Hadleigh Way™, we aim to create a positive and enjoyable relationship with food, where residents feel relaxed, respected and genuinely at home.

Maintenance & Environment

At Hadleigh Court, we understand how important the environment is to wellbeing, comfort and quality of life.

A safe, warm, well-maintained and welcoming home helps residents feel secure, relaxed and truly at home. Our maintenance and environmental team therefore plays an essential role in the daily life of Hadleigh Court.

Led by our on-site maintenance craftsman, Jamie, the team works proactively to ensure the home remains safe, comfortable, responsive and continuously improving for residents, families and staff.

Having a dedicated in-house maintenance presence allows us to respond quickly and efficiently to day-to-day issues whilst reducing reliance on external contractors wherever possible.

Responsibilities include:

  • General maintenance and repairs
  • Plumbing and practical repairs
  • Environmental upkeep and presentation
  • Health & safety checks
  • Supporting resident comfort and room adaptations
  • Garden and outdoor environment maintenance
  • Assisting with ongoing improvement projects throughout the home
  • Supporting a safe and dementia-friendly environment

We believe the environment should feel calm, homely, engaging and comfortable rather than institutional. As part of The Hadleigh Way™, we are continuing to invest in creating spaces that support orientation, independence, emotional wellbeing and meaningful daily living for those living with dementia.

Jamie works closely alongside management and the wider team to help ensure Hadleigh Court remains not only safe and functional, but a place residents are proud to call home.
